Friday, November 20
THIS WEEK’S JET POWER WORD OF THE WEEK IS DEMONSTRATE.
- In our efforts to “Go Green,” we will be posting “ready hold” library notices for students on the scrolling announcements. The notice is posted by the student’s first name, last name initial, and the date the hold expires. Students, look for your name on the scrolling announcements on the cafeteria TVs.
- Please help FCCLA collect non-perishable food items for the Food Bank by placing your items in the boxes in the school atrium.
- Save the earth! Help FCCLA recycle caprisun, kool-aid and other juice wrappers. Please look for our containers in the cafeteria and around the school.
- There will be an EnviroClub Meeting today after school in B-13.
Parent Connection
Eighth-grade students: are you interested in becoming a doctor, lawyer, actor, or computer programmer? Do you have an ear for foreign languages or an interest in global cultures? If so, don’t miss an exciting opportunity to learn about the school division’s theme-based academy and advanced academic programs. Virginia Beach Schools’ Parent Connection invites you and your parents to attend a workshop on Saturday, November 21 from noon to 2:30 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, located at 874 Baker Road. Find out what each academy and advanced academic program has to offer and get important information about the application process.
