Announcements for Fri. 10/20/2017
•             Today is Picture Day!  Make sure you have the picture form and payment with you if you wish to purchase pictures.  Give your form and money to the photographer.
•             Coding Club is BACK! If you love to code or you’re just interested in learning more about computer science, join us at 8:30am on Tuesday, October 24th in D21 for an informational meeting!
•             Maker Faire Club is back! If you are creative, love working on a team, and want to compete for glory at this year’s Maker Expo, come to the informational meeting at 8:30am on Wednesday, October 25th in D2. We have an awesome challenge this year!
•             Do you enjoy being outdoors?  Do you have a concern for the environment?  If yes, the Environment Club is for you!  The first meeting is after school on Wednesday, October 25th in A-09. Hope to see you there!
•             In support of our Kindness Campaign, the counseling department encourages you to send a kind message to let someone know how awesome they are!  Counselors will be in the cafeteria on Monday and Tuesday with Kindness Grams for you to fill out to be delivered!  Please wear orange on Wednesday, October 25th to show support for kindness! 
•             Are you a fur fanatic? Care about all kinds of creatures? Interested in protecting pets?  If so, then the Animal Appreciation Club is for you! The Club will provide opportunities to discuss animal related causes, support animals in our community, and more! We will meet each month on the first Tuesday or Thursday afterschool in room C-01. If interested, get a flyer from C1 and sign-up on the posted sheet. The first meeting is on Thursday, November 2nd. Hope to see you there!
•             Attention all girls!   Are you interested in CrossFit, forensics for the Police Department, Robotics, or engineering activities?  If so, sign-up for the Beach Girls Rock event on Saturday, November 18th from 8:00-12:00 at Landstown High School!  The theme is “You see a girl, I see the future”!   Iisha Scott, a meteorologist from 13 News Now, is the Keynote Speaker.   If interested, please see your counselor for a registration form.

  • Operation Smile meets today after school in the library.

  • FCCLA is sponsoring a school-wide “Pink Out Day" on Thursday, October 19th for Cancer Awareness month. Teachers and staff making a $2.00 donation may wear jeans with their pink.  Questions:  See Mrs. Pugh.

    •             The Running Club list is posted on the cafeteria bulletin board. Make sure to check it out and we will see you tomorrow!

    •             Operation Change Makers is going strong.  We have raised enough for over 2 surgeries already.  Remember, we are trying to raise enough for 8 surgeries between students and staff.  Students, check the graph on the scrolling announcements to see which grade is leading. Do your part and donate your spare change.  Saving lives; one coin at a time!

    • Attention CLMS ladies! Soul Force is an after school club that focuses on the strengths and talents of young ladies.  The club is open to all grade levels!  If any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade girl is interested in joining Soul Force, get a permission slip from Mrs. Filio’s box in 8th grade guidance and return it at the first meeting on Monday, October 16th.
    • Yankee Candle Fundraiser Packets are due on Monday, October 16th.  Return fundraising packets to your homeroom teacher.  The top homeroom with highest sales will enjoy a pizza and donut party. 2nd place will enjoy a sundae party.  Work on sales this weekend.  Remember, selling one item can make a difference!
