Announcements for Monday, December 18th 

  • There will be a Student Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest this Wednesday, December 20th. Be creative with your sweaters! Homemade sweaters are just fine. The grade level with the highest number of participants will earn 50 points towards their grade level jar. Start getting your sweaters ready!
  • ASL club is cancelled for today.  See you after the holiday break. Please take advantage of your time off and study a little. 
  • Yoga club will be meeting this Wednesday at 8 am
  • Ms. Owens regrets that the Doctor Who Club will not meet before  the Winter Break, as she is going through the regeneration process.  We will meet again after break!  Watch out for Daleks over the holidays!
  • The girls field hockey team will practice this Tuesday.  Dress warm, bring all field hockey gear, and bring $4.00 for pizza!!!

  • Attention all JS2S Student Ambassadors!  Let’s celebrate the holidays tomorrow at 8:30 AM in the cafeteria!  If you can, please bring a snack to share and be ready to be festive!!  All students are welcome to join!  Hope to see you there!
  • Boys- The African American Male Summit will be held on January 20th at Kellam High School. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to build leadership skills and participate in a district wide activity just for boys. You can get more information and permission slips in any school counseling location. Get yours today.

  • Environment Club will be meeting today after school in Room A-9.  We will be working on Holiday ornaments.  Hope to see you there!
  • Any boys interested in trying out for baseball, there will be an interest meeting today, after school, regarding conditioning activities which will start after the winter break and continue weekly leading up to tryouts in March. Make sure you have a change of clothes and your glove, be prepared to go outside. Any questions see Coach Peterson or Coach Raburn.
  • FCCLA will meet today after school in D-09. You must notify Mrs. Pugh if you cannot attend. This meeting is for active members only.
  • There will be no Animal Appreciation Club meeting this month.  Meetings will resume after winter break.  Mrs. Schezza apologizes & will see you in 2018.

  • The book fair is open in the library. Today is the last day.  Students with money may come with a signed planner to make their purchases. 
  • Attention 8th grade students applying to academies! Mrs. Filio will be staying after school today in room D-19 to answer student questions about the academy application, essays, and locations.  Come to get your application finished up! Be sure to ask your parents if you can stay after and ride the activity bus home.
  • The winners of the Book Fair Family Night drawing are John Moyer from the Golden Knights and Ava Gau from the Bulldogs. You must come to the Library today to pick out your $10 worth of free items.

  • Come out and support the CLMS Running Club Wednesday tonight between 4:00pm and 8:00pm at the Red Mill Chipotle on Upton Drive. Make sure you mention you are supporting the CLMS Running Club and 50% of the proceeds will be donated! The Running Club thanks you for your support!!
